Meet the energetic and openminded Babeburnz (she/her), a regular teacher at FAN and most at home in the world of the hoop.

In 2021, Babeburnz first encountered hula hoops when she was allowed to borrow a hoop from an acquaintance in the park. Shortly after, she bought her own hoop, and in the summer of 2022 she started practicing outdoors. For the first two to three years she mostly hooped alone. She found inspiration through YouTube tutorials and Instagram, but learned mainly by playing, experimenting, and discovering new possibilities with the hoop herself.

In 2024, Babeburnz discovered the Dutch flow arts community after meeting another hooper (now a good friend) at a party who invited her to Flowmily. At this flow arts festival she connected with other flow artists, exchanging knowledge and skills. Besides hooping, Babeburnz also practices other props such as double staff, spinfans, silk fans, poi, and fire eating.

During Flowmily, Babeburnz spun with fire for the first time. Her grandmother, a big supporter of this art form, then gifted her her first fire hoop; a special moment that further shaped her flow path.

2024 was also the year Babeburnz began performing. She especially loves queer stages: places that celebrate expression and freedom. She performed at Superflirt Festival and is a recurring performer at Wibar, preferably at a queer party such as Discotheef. Besides solo performances, she also performs with her duo act Lunar Babez. Her performances are characterized by a high-fem and fluid style, where technical hoop skills and dance come together.

We are proud that Babeburnz teaches at FAN. She is known for her strong awareness of her surroundings and creates a safe atmosphere in her classes where everyone can be themselves. She helps you grow in stage presence, dance, and choreography, with great attention to detail and joy in the learning process.
